On November 26 2024, Emily Shepperd, chief operating officer at the Financial Conduct Authority, delivered a speech at The City UK’s national conference in Birmingham. As the current three-year strategy for 2022–25 is due to expire, Shepperd laid out in detail the FCA’s new five-year strategy for 2025–30 for the first time.
